Born in Naples in the 1930s,
Amina Rubinacci inherited a passion for yarn from her mother who was a skilled knitter. Taught by her mother, Amina began to knit as a hobby with no plans to make knitwear design a career. Nonetheless, her love for knits  grew and she became extremely skillful at designing and making them.

When she moved to Paris in the 1960s, Amina began to create knitted pieces of all sorts for many of the well-known clothing designers of that decade including Yves St. Laurent, Christian Dior and Chanel.

Soon what began as a hobby became a substantial family-run business and today Amina Rubinacci's sophisticated knitwear is available in select stores worldwide.
